MONROVIA, LIBERIA- A team of medical specialists from the West African College of Surgeons Liberia Chapter, the Liberian Government Hospital, and the John F. Kennedy Medical Center has launched a week-long surgical outreach in Bomi County.
The Chief Medical Officer at the Liberian Government Hospital in Tubmanburg, Dr. Sualewu Sheriff, said the exercise is intended to address critical health concerns in the area.
The team of surgeons is said to be targeting at least two hundred residents in the county, with the exercise expected to end on June 30.
So far, seventy-five patients have already been assessed for possible surgeries and treatment.
Meanwhile, citizens in Bomi and surrounding areas have expressed gratitude to the doctors for the initiative, describing it as timely.
