MONROVIA, LIBERIA- Education Minister Dr. Jarso Jallah has called for the transformation of adult literacy in Liberia.
Minister Jallah noted that Liberia must move beyond scattered initiatives and build a coherent national system capable of delivering recognized qualifications and real opportunities for learners across the country.
She made the remarks on Tuesday in Monrovia as she opened the Adult Literacy Curriculum Review and Alignment Session.
The Minister paid tribute to the resilience of adult literacy programs over the years, acknowledging that the sector survived largely because of committed organizations, dedicated facilitators, and partners who refused to let learning disappear despite numerous challenges.
She specifically expressed gratitude to the Mission Alliance for its longstanding commitment and unwavering support of adult education in Liberia.
Minister Jallah urged participants to focus on building a robust national framework guided by common standards and a relevant, responsive curriculum.
