Three Indians, Liberian Sent to Monrovia Central Prison

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Three Indian nationals and a Liberian were sent to the Monrovia Central Prison on allegations of theft and forgery, in the amount of over five hundred thousand U.S dollars.

Defendant Akshit Sharma, Marketing Manager for Duraplast, Sethi Brothers, Bushrod Island branch, collected one hundred forty thousand US dollars from September 2025 to June 2026 for clients’ goods, and diverted said amount for his personal use.

Co-defendant Jaskaran Walia, who is the Sales and Operations Manager, assisted Akshit by putting wrong digital monetary figures into Sethi Brothers’ system to deceive the company about its revenue.

But during police investigations, suspect Ajmai Nazir and Raymond Toe admitted preparing vouchers and making payments to the recipient without a proper reconciling process, with Nazir denying conspiring with Raymond to perpetrate forgery and theft, thus denying the three hundred thousand US dollars’ transaction.

Suspect Raymond Toe, who was the Comptroller at the Uptown Garage Rehab branch, was arrested and investigated based on a complaint filed by Human Resources on behalf of the management, alleging misappropriation of over three hundred thousand US dollars.
