Nigeria’s Foreign Ministry in Liberia Distances from Circulating Letter…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Nigeria’s Foreign Ministry in Liberia has distanced itself from a circulating letter falsely attributed to the country’s top diplomat, and addressed to Liberia’s Foreign Minister, Sara Beysolow-Nyanti.

The disputed document, which has gained traction online, claims to have been signed by Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

In a rebuttal, the ministry stated that the letter did not originate from any official channel of the Nigerian government.

Upon internal review, the ministry identified multiple inconsistencies with standard diplomatic protocols, concluding that the document was fabricated.

Officials further noted that the purported letter was designed to mislead the public and stoke unnecessary tension between Nigeria and Liberia.

It also confirmed that security agencies have launched an investigation to trace the source of the forgery.
