Liberian Senate Confirms Weedor Chairman of Nat’l Elections Commission

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has confirmed Jonathan Weedor as Chairman of the National Elections Commission (NEC).

The confirmation followed a recommendation on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from the Senate Committee on Autonomous Agency, which stated that Weedor possesses the necessary qualifications to hold the position.
