MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has confiscated one hundred ninety compressed plates of cocaine worth over three billion Liberian Dollars.
The drugs were seized on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Roberts International Airport (RIA)in Lower Margibi County.
The LDEA said,” The seizure reflects intensified efforts to block drug trafficking through key entry points across Liberia”.
Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Monrovia, the LDEA Officer-in-Charge, Fitzgerald Biago, described the interception as a breakthrough against transnational drug networks.
According to him, the operation reflects ongoing reforms within the Agency, aimed at strengthening enforcement capacity and improving coordination in anti-narcotics operations.
He commended the Joint Security forces at Roberts International Airport for their timely intelligence and coordinated response, which led to the successful seizure.
