Nat’l Transit Authority Confirms Arrival of Twenty Buses, Five Cargo Trucks

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Transit Authority (NTA) has confirmed the arrival of twenty buses and five cargo trucks in the Country to strengthen public transportation services nationwide.

‎‎The Authority says the new fleet is expected to improve mobility and ease transportation challenges for commuters in major cities and surrounding communities.

‎Addressing the Ministry of Information Regular Press briefing on Tuesday, May 2, 2026, NTA Managing Director Edmund Forh said,” The Authority is awaiting the completion of documentation by the Ministries of Finance and Justice before full deployment of the vehicles”.

 ‎MD Forh noted that the new fleet will support the introduction of an electronic payment system aimed at improving efficiency in transport operations.

‎According to him, plans are also underway to introduce electric buses in the Country as part of broader efforts to modernize the national transport sector.

‎‎Meanwhile, the National Transit Authority reiterates its commitment to improving and modernizing the transport sector.
