Gov. of Liberia Commits to Maintaining Peace, Territorial Integrity…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia says it remains committed to maintaining the peace, territorial integrity, and good neighborliness with Guinea and other countries in the Mano River Basin.

 Information Minister Jerolimek Piah said,” Border-related issues should be resolved through dialogue, diplomacy, and established regional and international mechanisms”.

He said,” The ongoing border issue with Guinea is not a matter of

contention but a call for calm, facts, and sustained engagements”.

The information minister highlighted the March 20, 2026, Tripartite engagement with the Presidents of Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, for the peaceful handling of border situations.

Minister Piah further called on citizens to respect international laws and agreements, in providing fair and effective channels for addressing border concerns.
