Minister Tingban Denies Political Ambition in Nimba County District # 9

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Mines and Energy Minister, Matenokay Tingban, has denied having political ambition in District #9, Nimba County, despite ongoing development projects in the area.

 He made the statement during an appreciation program held in Nyonkiayee Town over the weekend.

Minister Tingban clarified that his projects should not be viewed as political activities or preparation for an election campaign.

He said,” My focus remains on improving the living conditions of residents in Yarwin Mensonnoh Administrative District”.

The Minister highlighted several initiatives already underway in the district, including road construction, pipe-borne water systems, and solar-powered streetlights.

He also disclosed plans to provide a modern ferry to improve transportation across the Yarr River.

Minister Tingban called on government officials to serve as good representatives of the administration by helping citizens through meaningful development projects.

Meanwhile, he promised to continue supporting the people regardless of politics.

At the same time, the Mines and Energy Minister has been honored for his development efforts in the district.

The program brought together chiefs, elders, youth, and community members.

The residents praised Minister Tingban for supporting the construction of roads connecting several towns in District #9.

They said the roads are expected to improve transportation and access to basic services in the area.

Speaking during the program, organizer D-Max Leboe commended Tingban for continuously supporting his people while serving in government.

He encouraged other citizens of Yarwin Mensonnoh to contribute to the development of their communities.

In response, Minister Tingban thanked the residents for the honor and promised to continue working for the improvement of rural communities.

He said people living in the interior of Liberia deserve better roads, water, electricity, and transportation services.
