MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police (LNP) and Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance international law enforcement cooperation.

A dispatch said the MoU represents a significant step toward strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations, while addressing transnational crime, cybercrime, trafficking, and other emerging security threats in the sub-region.

Through the agreement, both nations are expected to cooperate in several critical areas, including intelligence and information sharing, capacity building, and specialized police training, among others.

In the release, the LNP described the partnership as a strategic investment in institutional transformation, operational readiness, and the adoption of international best practices to strengthen public safety and national security.

The Liberia National Police also reaffirmed its commitment to building a modern, capable, accountable, and internationally connected police service that contributes to national stability, economic resilience, and the protection of all Liberians.
