MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian National Police has re-echoed its zero-tolerance stance against mob violence, lack of accountability in the public sector, and other crimes in Liberia.
Police Inspector General Col. Gregory Coleman said,” The police will not tolerate any act that undermines the country’s peace, justice, and public trust”.
He referenced the recent mob violence in the Chicken Soup Factory Community, involving an alleged criminal, and the incident of a lady who was stripped naked in Red-Light.
Col. Coleman also condemned both incidents, noting that such incidents have the propensity of creating chaos while projecting the country’s image negatively.
He warned citizens who are engaged in such acts to desist, noting that it is the core responsibility of the police force to protect lives and property.
