MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Africa Federation of Teaching Regulatory Authorities (AFTRA) has bestowed upon Education Minister, Dr. Jarso Jallah, its Fellowship Award.
According to a release issued by the Ministry of Education on Sunday, May 10, 2026, the honor was bestowed in recognition of Liberia’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the teaching profession through improved teacher standards, regulations, and licensing systems across the country.
The event took place during the organization’s 13th International Conference and 15th Roundtable held in Gaborone, Botswana.
Deputy Education Minister for Instruction, Amos Fully, received the award on behalf of Education Minister, Dr. Jarso Jallah, reaffirming Liberia’s commitment to building a more structured, professional, and accountable teaching workforce.
Dr. Jallah delivered addressed the gathering virtually at the 13th International Conference and 15th Roundtable held in Gaborone, Botswana.
Meanwhile, Liberia also accepted the honor of hosting the AFTRA Annual Conference in 2027.
