MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) has concluded a three-day training workshop focused on implementing a comprehensive aviation safety strategy.
The strategy aims at strengthening national oversight and aligning Liberia with international aviation standards.
The workshop, held in collaboration with the Banjul Accord Group Aviation Safety Oversight Organization (BAGASOO), centered on the development of Liberia’s State Safety Program (SSP) and National Aviation Safety Plan (NASP).
These frameworks are designed to enhance safety management systems, establish performance targets, and promote coordinated efforts among aviation stakeholders.
Over twenty-five participants representing the LCAA, the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, and other key institutions received certificates.
In his closing remarks, LCAA Director General Julius Dennis stressed the importance of sustained commitment, noting that ‘the real work actually starts now’, with the implementation of the strategies developed.
The LCAA boss commended participants for their punctuality and active engagement throughout the workshop.
