MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai is expected to return home later today, following his official visit to the United States of America.

While in the U.S.A., President Boakai was awarded the Annual Peace Leadership Award from Sacramento State University.

The award underscores the Liberian Leader’s continued commitment to peace, reconciliation, democracy, and good governance.

President Boakai, during the visit, also held strategic discussions with partners and stakeholders in the State of California to expand Liberia’s Agriculture Sector.

These visits and subsequent partnerships forged between the Government and key stakeholders in the U.S demonstrate President Boakai’s commitment to improving the lives of all citizens.
