Education Ministry Suspends Pleebo High School Principal…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Education Ministry has, with immediate effect, suspended the Principal of the Pleebo High School in Maryland County over allegations of misappropriating over one million Liberian dollars in PTA funds.

Maryland County Education Officer, Larry Nimely, told ELBC that the suspension of Principal Nathaniel Johnson followed his alleged failure to cooperate with an ongoing administrative investigation linking him to the allegation.

According to Nimely, the suspension will remain in force until the investigation is concluded.

Nimely described the action as a wake-up call to school administrators across the country, who are not complying with the Education Ministry’s policies and financial regulations.

When contacted, suspended Principal Nathaniel Johnsomn stated that he will reserve his response until the investigation is completed.
