MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has arrived in Washington, D.C., the United States, to attend and deliver the keynote address at the 34th Africa Peace Awards.
An Executive Mansion statement says the event will be held in Sacramento, the capital of the U.S. State of California.
President Boakai is also expected to receive the Peace Leadership Award.
The Award is in recognition of the President’s commitment to peacebuilding, democratic governance, and inclusive development in Liberia and across Africa.
While in the U.S., the Liberian Leader will engage in a series of high-level meetings with partners and stakeholders to strengthen bilateral relations and advance cooperation in key sectors.
The release named the Director General of the Liberian Cabinet, Nathaniel Kwabo, Information Minister, Jerolinmek Piah, and Agriculture Minister, Dr. Alexander Nuetah, as members of the President’s delegation.
