MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Education Ministry says it is collaborating with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to administer this year’s nationwide public exams.
WAEC began administering the process with the Liberia Junior High School Certificate Examination on Monday, April 20.
It will be followed by the Liberia National Assessment Test on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and the Liberia Primary School Certificate from April 23 to the 24th.
A Ministry of Education’s statement says the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will begin on June 1, with over fifty-seven thousand candidates expected to write the exams across the country.
Over two thousand students are participating in this year’s national examinations, marking one of the largest coordinated academic exercises in Liberia’s Education System.
At the same time, the Ministry of Education, through its Bureau of Early Childhood Education, has commenced a week-long awareness campaign on the importance of Early Childhood Education in Bong County.
According to a release, the awareness is led by Assistant Education Minister, Fasam Howard Nyensuah.
The awareness team engaged with parents and community members on enrolling children at the right age and creating strong foundations for learning.
The gathering reflects a shared responsibility to give every child the best possible start.
