Pres. Boakai Concludes High-Level State Visit to Ethiopia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has successfully concluded his high-level State visit to Ethiopia.

During the visit, President Boakai engaged in a series of official activities reflecting the depth of Liberia-Ethiopia relations.

The President laid a wreath at the Adwa Victory Memorial Monument in honor of the heroes of the historic Battle of Adwa, followed by a guided tour of the adjoining museum.

At the National Palace, President Boakai received full state honors, including an official welcome ceremony and guard of honor.

He later held a tete-a-tete with his Ethiopian counterpart, during which discussions centered on bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and shared strategic interests.

The two leaders subsequently convened an expanded bilateral meeting involving senior officials from both governments.

At the same time, Liberia and Ethiopia have signed key bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation in Artificial Intelligence, Science, Technology, and Education.

An Executive Mansion release says the agreements, formalized through Memoranda of Understanding, were signed on Tuesday, April 14, at the National Palace in Adidas Ababa.

The Foreign Ministers of Liberia and Ethiopia signed on behalf of their governments, marking a significant step in advancing mutual development priorities.
