Liberia Nat’l Tourism Authority Suspends Tourism, Culture and Creative Economy Fees and Charges Execution

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA) has suspended the implementation of its Tourism, Culture, and Creative Economy fees announced recently.

The LNTA’s decision followed a mandate from President Joseph Boakai, calling on the Authority to halt the implementation of its exercise, pending further consultation.

During a cabinet meeting in Monrovia, President Boakai said,” While the intent of the LNTA is welcoming, there is a need to review the figures and see what impact such fees will have on the people”.

The Liberian Leader noted that a further review will determine how realistic the figures are, given the current economic realities.
