Edu. Ministry Launches Students Hygiene Kits Distribution …

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education has launched the distribution of student hygiene kits and support packages to selected schools across Liberia.

Education Minister, Dr. Jarso Jallah, launched the initiative on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Group of 77 School in Central Monrovia.

Speaking at the launch, the education minister said the initiative is intended to ensure that girls are supported with menstrual hygiene packages, while boys are provided with essential hygiene kits.

She noted that many times, attention has been focused mainly on girls. She emphasized that boys must learn practical life skills because they will grow into becoming men, husbands, and leaders who are expected to serve as role models within their communities.

Dr. Jallah explained that the packages represent the practical side of classroom learning and will be distributed to selected schools across the country based on established guidelines.

She encouraged students of the Group of 77 School to take pride in being the first beneficiaries, describing the institution as an important starting point for the nationwide rollout of the initiative.
