MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Education Minister, Dr. Jarso Jallah, has stressed that effective school leadership is key to improving education outcomes, alongside policies and resources.
Speaking on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Monrovia, Minister Jallah noted that while teachers shape learning in the classroom, principals are responsible for creating the conditions that enable effective teaching and learning to thrive.
She made the remarks during the 61st Anniversary celebration of the National Association of Liberian School Principals (NALSP), which also featured a national symposium on Sustainable School Leadership for Quality Education.
The symposium brought together school leaders from across the country, providing a platform to share experiences, strengthen professional networks, and deepen collaboration within Liberia’s education system.
Meanwhile, the Association honored Minister Jallah with Honorary Membership and the Lifetime Transformative Educator Award, presented by former NALSP President Benjamin Wehye and current President Darric Dennis, in recognition of her exceptional leadership and commitment to strengthening Liberia’s education sector.
