Criminal Court ‘C’ Warns against Lawyers with in Economic Sabotage Case…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court ‘C’ says the conduct of some lawyers, after the March 13 Session, is alarming and sub-judice.

Judge Ousman Feika said, “Lawyers are aware that such conduct is not permitted in this jurisdiction, and the Court will implement strong disciplinary action of criminal contempt against lawyers or defendants”.

Judge Feika further said,” Holding press conferences, granting interviews and using social media handles is a deliberate attempt by lawyers in the ongoing economic sabotage case to de-sanitize the trial”.

He added that this is a flagrant violation of Rule 16 of the Code of Professional and Ethical Conduct for Lawyers.

The presiding Judge is warning all lawyers that, in no uncertain terms, it will not condone conduct that has the proclivity to sentimentalize the trial in public.
