Liberia Nat’l Police Confirms Arrest of Fourth Suspect in Austin’s Alleged Murder Case

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police (LNP) has confirmed that the fourth suspect connected to the alleged murder of Austin Tengben has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.

Recently, a video footage circulating on social media showed that the 26-year-old Liberian was attacked by some Ghanaians, which resulted in his death.

Making the disclosure on Monday, March 9, 2026, the LNP Commissioner for Crime Services, Johnny Dean, disclosed that all the suspects linked to the case have been arraigned before a court in Ghana.

He explained that both police institutions have remained engaged throughout the investigation, stressing that the Dhana Police Service has been very cooperative in sharing information with the Liberia National Police.

Commander Dean also highlighted troubling comments circulating on social media, calling on Liberians and Ghanaians to exercise restraint and allow the legal process to take its course.
