Edu. Ministry Fines Sant Theresa Convent School LD 500,000.00, Bars “Christoph the Change” …

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Education Ministry has fined St. Theresa Convent Catholic School 500-thousand Liberian dollars for breaching educational guidelines.

The Ministry’s decision comes after a thorough review of the performance of Liberian Artist, Christopher Nyenga, widely known as “Christoph the Change” at the school’s facility.

A release quotes the Ministry as ordering disciplinary action against administrators and staff responsible for the incident.

The Ministry says the incident involved indecent exposure and constituted a serious breach of child protection, safeguarding, and supervision standards.

It added that the school administrator failed to attend a scheduled meeting and offered no written justification, constituting statutory non-compliance.

The Education Ministry has also banned “Christoph the Change” from school events nationwide for the academic year.

In response, the banned Liberian artist, Christoph the Change, welcomed the Ministry’s decision and issued a public apology.

In his statement, Christoph said,” I respect the ruling and am grateful for the opportunity to reflect”.

He described the incident as unfortunate and asked for forgiveness from the education community.
