Pres. Boakai Honors Two Senior Members of Diplomatic and Consular Corps

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has honored two senior members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps for their distinguished service and contributions towards Liberia’s development.

They are ECOWAS Ambassador to Liberia, Josephine Nkrumah, and UN Women Country Representative, Comfort Lamptey.

An Executive Mansion release said the two diplomats, whose assignments in Liberia are expected to end this year, were honored during a Special New Year’s Reception held over the weekend in Monrovia.

At the ceremony hosted in honor of Liberia’s Diplomatic Community, President Boakai expressed Liberia’s deepest appreciation to all Diplomats for the sustained partnership, dedication, and support to Liberia’s peace, governance, and development agenda.

The release said that President Boakai emphasized the impact of international partners’ enduring service, friendship, and contributions, which have strengthened Liberia’s engagement with the rest of the world.

The Liberian Leader reaffirmed the Government of Liberia’s commitment to advancing national progress and prosperity through strong partnerships with the International Community, organizations, and Diplomatic Missions.
