61-Year-Old-Grandmother Arrested for Allegedly Killing Three Grandchildren in Nimba County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A sixty-one-year-old woman, Mary Giah, has been arrested by the Liberia National Police for allegedly killing her three grandchildren in Nimba County.

According to our correspondent, the children were found dead in their grandmother’s residence early Saturday morning, February 21, 2026, by their mother.

Our correspondent further explained that the suspect, Mary Giah, fled the scene but was apprehended after a fifteen-man search for two days.

The suspect is in police custody for further investigation, while the bodies of the three minors are undergoing investigative procedures.
