Commerce Ministry Inspectorate Division Shuts Down Two Companies…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Inspectorate Division of the Ministry of Commerce has shut down the Yi Cheng Incorporated and East International Construction Companies in Paynesville City, for violating Liberia’s Investment Code.

According to Inspector General Miantor Sei Gbatu, East International Construction Company and Yi Cheng Incorporated were engaging in unauthorized commercial activities.

Gbatu indicated that the companies’ activities are inconsistent with the approved operational mandate.

He disclosed that Yi Cheng Incorporated, which is operating in the compound of East International Construction Company, is involved with the selling of rocks, sand, and cement blocks.

Miantor Sei Gbatu said,” The selling of these materials is in violation of Liberia’s Investment Code of 2010, which sets aside several businesses exclusive for Liberians.
