Edu. Ministry Admits Awareness of Social Media Video…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education says it is aware of a video circulating on social media showing a musical performance involving students in a school-related setting.

According to a release, the content of the performance is inappropriate for minors and raises serious safeguarding concerns.

The release says the Ministry is currently verifying the circumstances under which the event occurred, including whether it was authorized, the parties responsible, and the level of supervision present.

The MOE release says pending the outcome of an investigation, the Ministry is engaging the relevant school authorities and will take appropriate action in line with national education policies.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education added that the outcome of the investigation will be made public.
