Liberia to Host 2025 End-of-Year Joint West Africa Monetary Zone Statutory Meeting

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia is expected to host the 2025 end-of-year Joint West Africa Monetary Zone Statutory (WAMZ) Meeting.

The event is a major regional gathering on monetary corporation and integration.

The meeting, which runs from February 4-13, is expected to highlight key issues, including the Monitoring Union, the Statutory Central Bank, the Status of ECOWAS Solidarity, and the stabilization form.

CBL’s Deputy Director for Research, Mah Krua, described Liberia’s role as host nation and underscored the pivotal role of the different bodies.

He highlighted that WAMA, WAMI, and WAIFI are responsible for safeguarding member states by advancing the integration agenda in the sub-region, conducting research, and providing microeconomic recommendations to member states.
