Liberia, Millennium Challenge Compact End 2nd Compact Consultations in Monrovia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) of the United States Government have concluded the 2nd MCC Compact Consultations in Monrovia.

The consultation brought together heads of government ministries, agencies, commissions, and department partners, including the visiting MCC team.

Addressing the forum on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, the Director General of the Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS), Richard Ngafuan, called for inter-agency collaborations in the development of the 2nd MCC Compact.

The LISGIS boss reminded development partners about the Cabinet-endorsed National Employment Acceleration Strategy, with a focus on collecting data on the number of Liberians gaining employment quarterly.

Under the employment strategy, Richard Ngafuan said the private sector, especially small businesses, is vital to job creation.
