Senator Bartekwa Rallies Grand Kru Citizens Ahead of Sunday’s County Meet Final

Grand Kru County Senator Numene Bartekwa has rallied citizens for the singular purpose of advancing development in the County.

Senator Bartekwa said it is about time those who have been on the periphery show up and support every meaningful initiative undertaken by the County.

The Senator made the charge at his residence on Friday evening during a rallying meeting of Grand Kru Citizens ahead of the National County Meet final on Sunday.

He then called on the steering committee to reach out to every known Grand Kru citizen, both at home and in the diaspora in order to galvanize support for the team.

Grand Kru will this Sunday play Nimba County in the football final of the County Meet and Senator Bartekwa wants citizens to always identify with the County, whether in good times or challenging times.

Five time champions, Grand Kru has been in crucial form in the tournament securing qualification from the preliminaries in Harper, Maryland County and producing dominant results against Grand Bassa in the quarter finals and Grand Cape Mount County in the semifinals.

Nimba leads the County Meet honors table with six titles, prompting Senator Bartekwa to described Sunday’s match as a battle of the equalizer.
