MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Mines and Energy Minister Matenokay Tingban is currently representing the country at the 2026 Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Future Minerals Forum is a premier international platform focused on critical minerals, mining governance, and sustainable resource development.
It is aimed at strengthening transparency, competitiveness, and investor confidence in the mining sector.
During the Forum, Minister Tingban emphasized that bilateral cooperation, regional collaboration, and investment partnerships in the minerals sector will improve Liberia’s mining sector.
He also used the Forum to engage directly with global investors and private-sector leaders, highlighting Liberia’s openness to public- and private-sector investment.
In another development, Mines and Energy Minister Matenokay Tingban is expected to travel to Israel on a business tour.
The trip will begin from January 17 to January 22, 2026.
According to a release, the Minister’s tour focused on attracting private-sector investment in solar and renewable energy development.
It is also aimed at expanding access to clean and affordable energy, supporting energy diversification, and driving sustainable economic growth in Liberia.
