Millennium Challenge Corporation to Decide Liberia’s for Second Compact

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Board of Directors of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is meeting today, Wednesday, to decide whether to reject or recommend Liberia for a Second Compact.

The Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Augustine Ngafuan, disclosed on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at a news conference in Monrovia.

Minister Ngafuan expressed optimism about Liberia’s selection, stressing that a Second Compact is essential to the Country’s growth and development.

The finance minister said,” The government has done its best to deserve the approval of the Board of Directors of the MCC”.

Minister Ngafuan has named energy, roads, and access to finance as areas being considered under a Second Compact.
