Pres. Boakai Suspends Nat’l Public Health Institute Boss and Deputy Director General…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has relieved the Director General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL), Dr. Dougbeh Nyan, and his Deputy Director General, Dr. Adams Lincoln, for administrative reasons.

An Executive Mansion release said that the action is consistent with the Liberian Government’s commitment to fostering effective leadership, accountability, and institutional efficiency across all sectors.

President Boakai appointed Dr. Sia Wata Camanor as Officer-In-Charge of NPHIL.

Dr. Camanor is expected to coordinate and collaborate with the NPHIL Board, the Ministry of Health, and partners to ensure the Institute’s stability and continuity of operations at the institution.

At the same time, President Boakai has announced key appointments in the government as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and enhance institutional performance.

President Joseph Boakai appointed Atty. Teklo Maxwell Grigsby and Varney Ali Sheriff as Director and Deputy Director of Witness Protection Unit, and Dr. Stephen Paye as Probation and Parole Administrator at the Ministry of Justice.
