Press Union of Liberia to Celebrate 61st Anniversary in Monrovia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) is set to celebrate its 61st Anniversary on Tuesday, September 30, with all journalists from across are expected to converge in Monrovia.

The official celebration will be held at the PUL’s National Headquarters in Sinkor, under the theme:” Commemorating Our Past, Constructing the Future”.

PUL President Julius Kanuba has announced that ECOWAS Resident Representative Josephine Nkrumah will serve as the orator for the program.

According to Kanuba, the event will not honor the legacy of the Union’s enduring struggle for press freedom in Liberia, but also crucially underscore a major resource mobilization initiative.

The funds raised are intended for the construction of the new national headquarters, a key step in building a sustainable future for the institution.
