Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency Seizes 430 Packs Tramadol, Arrested 3 Persons at Tienii Checkpoint, Grand Cape Mount County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has seized four hundred thirty packs of tramadol and arrested three individuals, including an employee of the Liberia Immigration Service at the Tienii Checkpoint in Grand Cape Mount County.

The substance was confiscated on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from a green Kailondo truck (plate number H04139), which was intercepted at the checkpoint while traveling from Jende-Wonde toward Monrovia.

Those arrested include Edward Dagoseh, 51, an LIS Officer who is a resident of Jacob Town in Paynesville City, Ali Fofana, 41, a resident of Gardnesville, and a third individual known only as Siafa, who is currently being identified by authorities.

According to LDEA Commander Sandouno Faya, Dagoseh is believed to be the owner of the seized contraband.

Commander Faya disclosed that the estimated street value of the seized substance is over fifty thousand US Dollars.

All three suspects have been turned over to the LDEA’s Investigation Section in Grand Cape Mount County.

They are expected to be formally charged and forwarded to the judiciary for prosecution in the coming days.
