Public Works Ministry Continues Demolition of Structures in Japan Freeway Expansion Zone

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Public Works Ministry is continuing the demolition of structures captured in the Japan Freeway Road Expansion Project Zone.

The Ministry began the demolition exercise from Clara Town to Douala on Bushrod Island.

The move aims to create a conducive working environment for the ongoing road works between the Gabriel Tucker Bridge and the Freeport of Monrovia, which is expected to extend to other parts of the island.

The road construction is being carried out by the Japanese International Corporation Agency (JICA), with direct supervision by the Public Works Ministry.

Meanwhile, residents in the project-affected areas have lauded the Government of Liberia, while pleading with others to be affected to follow their path.
