Pres. Boakai Describes Fallen Minister of State as True Patriot, Stateman…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has described the Minister of State, Sylvester Grigsby, as a true patriot and statesman, whose invaluable contributions to Liberia will forever be remembered.

An Executive Mansion release said President Boakai made the statement during a meeting with members of the bereaved family in the United States, recently.

The release said the Liberian Leader, at the meeting, assured the family of the Liberian Government’s commitment to preserving Minister Grigsby’s legacy by holding a national memorial in the coming months.

The release disclosed that the ceremony will reflect the fallen statesman’s core values of service to country, while demonstrating a high level of integrity and patriotism.

According to the release, the Liberian Leader, during the meeting, also conveyed deepest condolences and solidarity to the family on behalf of the nation and people, emphasizing that Liberia will always honor the late Minister’s memory.

The meeting, which was attended by the widow of the late Minister, Cleopatra Grigsby, and her daughter, Mayumi Grigsby, highlighted the President’s respect for the enduring contributions and sacrifices rendered by public servants.
