Gov. of Liberia to Raise Additional 16m USD from Storage Fees at Liberia Petroleum Refining Company

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia is expected to raise an additional 16 million US Dollars in revenue from storage fees at the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC).

It followed the endorsement of the Liberian Senate’s recommendations by President Joseph Boakai recently.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in Monrovia, the Liberian Senate Committee Chair on Ways, Means, Finance, and Budget, Prince Moye, said,” The amount was discovered based on the innovation of the Liberian Senate to investigate storage fees at the LPRC.

The Bong County Senator said the amount expected to be raised annually will go towards social programs amid the USAID drawdown.

Senator Moye thanked President Joseph Boakai for endorsing the report and allowing the National Legislature to work independently.
