Liberia Broadcasting System Breaks Ground for Construction of New Radio, TV Sub-Stations…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) has broken ground for the construction of its new sub-radio and television stations in Grand Cape Mount County.

Speaking on ELBC’s “Super Morning Show” on Thursday, September 4, 2025, the LBS Deputy Director General for Operations and Technical Services, Bortfeldt Lloyd, said,” The sub-stations, when completed, will expand broadcasting activities to the county and other surrounding counties, including neighboring Sierra Leone.

Lloyd noted that the LBS expansion project is part of President Joseph Boakai’s vision to extend broadcast activities to all parts of the country.

The LBS Deputy Director General, accompanied by others, disclosed that this will be the first time, since the establishment of Grand Cape Mount County, to host LBS sub-radio and television stations.

He disclosed that the construction work is set to commence immediately, following the groundbreaking ceremony, and is expected to be completed in about four months, beginning this September.
