Pres. Boakai Says Liberia Stands Ready to Strengthen Current Relationship with U.S.

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai says the Liberian Government stands ready to further cement the existing relationship between Liberia and the United States.

President Boakai said,” Through the partnership, more investment opportunities in the education, healthcare, and agriculture sectors of Liberia will be attained”.

The Liberian Leaders also expressed the Government’s desire to partner with U.S.-based churches in other critical areas that will benefit the larger society.

President Boakai made the special remarks during a meeting with US Congressman Raphael Warnock and the Delegation in Monrovia on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

Before the meeting, President Boakai and the US Congressman met and held crucial discussions with top government officials, including Vice President Jeremiah Koung.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Ebenezer Baptist Church Delegation based in the United States expressed interest in partnering with Liberian churches in preaching the Gospel.

Senator Warnock said,” For the gospel to reach all mankind, it remains the responsibility of the church to explore ways to achieve the goal”.

According to the Ebenezer Baptist church cleric, Liberia, a nation that has endured turbulent moments, remains a strategic destination for the spreading of the gospel.

The US Congressman commended President Boakai for the steady progress being made in the development of the country, and emphasized willingness to partner with the government in deepening US-Liberia diplomatic ties.
