Liberia’s Chief Justice Yuoh Releases May, June Terms Legal Assignment

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Chief Justice Sie-A-Nyene Yuoh has released her May and June Terms legal assignments for Circuit Courts’ Judges.

Chief Justice Yuoh’s legal duties affected Criminal Courts ‘B’, ‘C’, and ‘D’, as well as the 2nd, 4th, 11th, 14th, and 15th Judicial Circuit Courts in the country.

Criminal Court ‘D’ Resident Judge Mametta Jabateh-Sirleaf leaves her Circuit for Criminal Court ‘B’, being replaced by Judge Kennedy Peabody.

The Resident Judge of the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court in Grand Bassa County, Joe Barkon, leaves his Circuit for the first time since his appointment in 2018, to assume jurisdiction at Criminal Court ‘C’ in Montserrado County, while Criminal Court ‘C’ Resident Judge Blamo Dixon surfaces in Grand Bassa County.

The 14th Judicial Circuit Court Resident Judge Onesimus Banson in Rivercess County leaves his circuit to crossover to the 15th Judicial Circuit in River Gee County, while Judge Wesseh A. Wesseh goes to the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court in Grand Bassa County.

Judge Nelson Chineh goes to the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in Bomi County, while Judge Nelson Tokpa returns to the 4th Judicial Circuit Court in Maryland County.

Judges Nelson Sammie, Ousman Feika, Peter Gbeleweleh, Blamo Dixon, Roosevelt Willie, among others, were retained at their various courts by Justice Yuoh.

Chief Justice Yuoh’s rotations for Circuit Courts Judges is consistent with Chapter 3, Section 3.9 of the Judiciary Law.
