8th Nat’l Quranic Recitation, Memorization Competition Begins in Monrovia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The 8th National Quranic Recitation and Memorization Competition has begun in Monrovia with a call for contestants to demonstrate their memorization skills and recitation prowess.

 The Competition, organized by the United Da’wah Ummah of Liberia, is taking place under the theme: “Enlightening Our Lives with the Quran and Sunnah”.

About 51 finalists are participating in the competition this year, with an encouraging representation of 12% female participants.

A member of the organizing committee, Mohammed Sow, said:” The event aims to foster a spirit of healthy competition and promoting the importance of Islamic teachings.”

Mohammed Sow disclosed that the annual event is drawing students from various memorization centers across Liberia.
