MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Public Works Ministry has received a high-level delegation from the Japan International Agency (JICA) to review the progress of critical road infrastructure projects and explore avenues for future collaboration.

The JICA mission, led by Tanaka Kenji, Director of the Financial Cooperation Implementation Department at JICA Headquarters, paid a courtesy visit to the ministry on Wednesday, March 19, 2026.

Kenji was accompanied by Watanabe Takaki and Ishijima Tadayuki, Head of the JICA-Liberia Office.

The delegation was received by a Senior Team from the Public Works Ministry, including Public Works Minister for Technical Services, and Samuka Dunnoh, Deputy Minister for Administration.

Also present were key technical leads, including Immanuel Freeman, Project Coordinator of the Ministry’s Special Project Implementation Team (SPIT), and Aruna Bangura, Project Engineer for the JICA Freeway Extension Project.
