Bea Mountain Mining Company Awarded Highest Taxpayer For 2023

Monrovia, Sunday, November 24, 2024 – Leading Mining Company in Western Liberia, Bea Mountain Mining Corporation has bagged a hugely significant award that underline their overall contribution to Liberia’s economy.

The Grand Cape Mount County based Company was over the weekend awarded highest tax payer prize for 2023 in the gold concession category. The company also took the second highest tax payer prize of 2022.

The award was given by the Liberia Revenue Authority at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Monrovia on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Presenting the awards to the Company over the weekend, the LRA Commissioner General, Mr. Dorbor Jallah said the award was in recognition of the immense contributions the company has made to the country’s revenue envelope. “We recognize the contributions of all tax payers, especially those institutions that have the highest overall of all the taxpayers” Mr. Jallah added.

Reacting to the award, Bea Mountain Mining Company, Country General Manager, Debar Allen said, “as a partner in development, it feels good to win such awards. Bee Mountain has done that. Bee Mountain has put Liberia on the map for gold production and so, it is an accomplishment”.

Mr. Allen then lauded the government of Liberia for providing the enabling environment for investors to thrive in the country, adding that as an institution, they could not have done it without the government of Liberia and their host communities in Grand Cape Mount County.
