Gov. of Liberia Finalizes Arrangements to Provide Telecom Services in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia, through the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) and Starlink, is finalizing arrangements to provide telecommunication services in Liberia.

Starlink, owned by the World’s richest man, Elon Musk, is the World’s largest satellite constellation providing high-speed, low-latency broadband internet to users all over the world.

According to a release issued recently, Starlink is renowned for its ability to provide connectivity in geographically rural areas.

At the end of the ongoing arrangements, the Government will provide the global entity with a one-year provisional license to operate as the LTA studies its impact on the local market.
