Vice Pres. Koung Pledges Liberia’s Support to…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Vice President Jeremiah Koung has pledged the Liberian Government’s commitment to ratifying the African Charter Protocol on Human and People’s Rights.

VP Koung said:” The Protocol’s ratification will serve as the Country’s testament of adherence to international norms and regains its place amongst the Comity of Nations.

He stressed Liberia’s leadership role in the establishment of the African Union, and called for a symbolic headquarters to be built in the Country.

According to a release issued recently, the Liberian Vice President was speaking on Thursday, April 118, 2024, when he received a high-level delegation from the African Court on Human and People’s Rights at his office at the Capitol in Monrovia.

The Head of Delegation and President of the African Court, Imani Daud Aboud, commended Liberia for its leadership role on the African Continent.
