One Stop Center Established at John Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A One Stop Center has been established at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Sinkor, Monrovia, to cater for survivors of rape and other sexual assault cases.

The Center refurbished by UNFPA through Plan International, will house survivors of rape, provide DNA Examination for investigation, and further commence the process of justice.

At the turning-over ceremony on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, UNFPA Country Representative, Bidisha Pillai, described the Center as a significant milestone.

Madam Pillai expressed optimism that the Center at JFK will strengthen the Sexual Gender Violence (SGBV) response across Liberia.

For his part, JFK Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jerry Brown, lauded partners for the effort and assured them of upholding survivals’ privacy.
