USAID Launches “Agribusiness Pitch Competition” in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has launched what it called the “Agribusiness Pitch Competition” in Liberia.

USAID Deputy Mission Director, Rory Donohoe, said:” The initiative is intended to create jobs and to provide financial, managerial and technical assistance to Agribusiness owners in Liberia.”

Mr. Donohoe told ELBC Super Morning Show on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, that at least ninety-two Agribusiness owners are expected to participate in the competition.

He also disclosed that winners of the Agribusiness Pitch Competition will be awarded fifty thousand US Dollars.

Meanwhile, USAID Private Sector Specialist, Cyrus Saygbe, praised the Liberian Government, especially the Agriculture Ministry, for its continuous support of the country‘s Agriculture Sector.
