Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services Officer sent to Court for Gadget sale…

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Police in Ganta, Nimba County, have sent to court a Supervisor of the Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS), in connection with the sale of gadget he used for ongoing census exercise.

Suspect Lawrence Yeaway was recently arrested for selling the data-collecting tablet assigned to him as a supervisor for the census in his area.

During preliminary investigations, suspect Yeaway reportedly told police that he sold the gadget because he experienced hunger while carrying out the census work without money in his possession to buy food.

He was assigned at Zorgowee Town, Zor Chiefdom in District 3, Nimba County.
